Time to Lay a New Egg

2015 is upon us! and January 1st seems a good time to hatch a new plan.

Thus have I changed this website to better showcase a new journey. I’ve changed it to reflect my photography business, which is tiny but growing, and I’d like to grow it even further this year.

The plan is to see how things go. Literally see how things go — by launching a 52-week photo journal on this the first day of a new year.

(I already attempted a 365 Project a few months ago, but it crashed and fizzled somewhere around the 63-day mark. Which is okay. I learned a lot about myself in the process.)

This time around, I’m going to keep it simple: I’ll post one photo, along with a little write-up capturing whatever it is that resonated with me that week. I think the words and story that you attach to a photo are as important as the photo itself, so I’m going to practice doing that this year.

My hope is to shoot more from the heart. To develop that instinct in myself, and learn to feel a bit more comfortable with putting myself out there. Warts, bruises, mistakes and all.

Please join me on this year’s photo journey.
